Club Development has introduced mentors for new members to help them settle in, develop their knowledge of Rotary, and connect them with opportunities to grow their talents and leadership in the organisation.  Mentors are experienced club members whom new members can contact for information and know-how.  They will also help involve and engage new members in the Club so they enjoy their time at every rotary meeting, are enabled to participate in networking and fellowship and enjoy meaningful service opportunities.  This is a new initiative, and the arrangement will be iterated in response to what is learned through doing.

People who have volunteered to be our first club mentors are John Morrison, Grant McRae, Barb Bradnock, Peter Brooks, Allan Lee, Mark Ammundsen, Murray Georgel, and Christine Jones.   Thank you to Glen Caves for running the session that has resulted in the development of this approach, and thank you to Christine Jones for sharing this development with the meeting.
