RYPEN Rotary Youth Programme of Enrichment

Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your leadership skills and reach your full potential?

The Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) is here to help! This weekend-long camp for high school students in Year 11 and Year 12 combines lectures and adventure-based learning to help young people thrive.

RYPEN is specifically designed for students who demonstrate qualities of decency, persistence, and application and who may not have been selected for other leadership programs like Youth Exchange or RYLA.

At RYPEN, you'll have the chance to engage with a range of ideas, challenges, and social experiences that will help you form your own values and moral standards and broaden your horizons culturally, socially, and academically. The program is open to all students who have not previously participated in outdoor education programs like Outward Bound, Spirit of New Zealand, or college outdoor pursuit courses.

Under the strict guidance of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education's EOTC policy, RYPEN is the perfect opportunity to take your leadership skills to the next level. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to grow personally, culturally, and physically. Sign up for RYPEN today!

RYPEN is back on for 2023!!

The Rotary National Science & Technology Forum

This is a programme for OUTSTANDING all round science, maths and technology students in Year 12 who will be returning to Year 13 and are planning to study the sciences or technology at the tertiary level.

Rotary and the Tertiary Institutions of Auckland conduct this fully residential programme. By the end of the Forum, students should have a better understanding of the tertiary courses they wish to follow and a fuller appreciation of the place of science and technology in the wider community.  It also allows high achieving students to spend time with similar-minded people. The experiences gained invariably result in overall personal growth and renewed motivation to succeed.

Each District has been allocated 22 places at the Forum.
All Secondary Schools and Clubs in the District will be sent copies of the application forms and guidelines.  Applications from students MUST be lodged with Rotary Clubs, who will interview & endorse them before forwarding to the District Coordinator, who will then make the final District selections.

The selection is based on positive personal qualities and proven scholastic achievement at both Club and District levels. Successful students should be advised by the District Coordinator by the end of September. Selected applicants have the opportunity to win a place at either the Canberra (1 per District) or the London International Youth Science Forum (2 Forum places).
